The 2021 Headies award was interrupted as the live-stream with which patrons where enjoying the show went off.
Many people had no idea about why the show had to go off, however, reports suggest that organizers had to cut the live-stream off due to the curfew in Nigeria.
It could be recalled that Nigeria is under curfew from 12 am till 6 am and this is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These are parts of measures taken by the government to curb the spread of the disease in the country as it has been recording over 1,000 cases each day.
The reports are unconfirmed though and we await an official communique from the organizers as to why they went off.
