Kohgi Nati on, an 18-year-old boy and his father were attacked by a Fulani herdsman over a missing cow in Otuoke Community, Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa State.

According to reports, the incident which result in the boy suffering critical machete injuries on his fingers and head occurred at 5pm on 19th February at Osuan bush. Thankfully, his father Goodhead Nation was able to flee the scene with minor injuries on the legs.

When the boy was rushed to the hospital, about 4 hours was spent on surgery to save his life. The 58 year old father explained that the herder attacked them while they were working to their palm farm and he did so by coming from the back entrance of his farm and blamed them of his missing cow.

He said;

“We denied the theft and told him to look at us whether we looked like some who can kill a cow. He attacked me with his stick. He later brought out his machete and chased my son. We later discovered my son by the riverside with a heavy machete cut to the head, waist and hand.” he narrated.
