Political Scientist, Prof. Ransford Gyampo has expressed his views on the appointment of colleague Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Aggyemg as running mate for Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama, of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for 2020 Ghana election in a yet to be released video interview with KKB.
Ghgossip.com has had the privilege to watch to the yet to be released video.
To him, whoever chose Naana Jane as Vice Presidential Candidate for the the NDC was a master plan politician, one who is very experienced in Ghana political arena.
“Whoever made that choice of Naana Opoku Agyemang was a master politician. In politics you are so careful you determining who you select particularly, you look at who cannot be attacked”.
By his understanding, selecting a perfect candidate at the right time for election takes critical thinking, careful planning and experience. Adding that there is more into appointing a candidate especially for high position of Vice Presidency.
He believes the candidate should be of one with no or less dent that will make it very difficult for opponent to attack him or her. And that’s exactly what the NDC did with Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

Expressing his opinion on implementation of government policies, Mr. Gyampo says the typical Ghanaian government rush into implementing policies just to avoid the demand of strict and proper accountability from the people.
He has therefore urged politicians to take their time and do proper survey before implementing policies.
