The 25-year-old lady was said to have been found dead on Monday, 5 April around 1:40 pm in one of the rooms in the guest house.

The manager of Gameli Guest House at Somanya Low Cost reported at the police station that the young lady was said to have lodged into the guest house with a man by the name Charles Tetteh but was later found dead in the room alone.

According to the receptionist, the two lodged into the guest house on Sunday and were supposed to lodge out by mid-day on Monday.

The receptionist said that the two were not seen coming out of their room and so she decided to check upon them. She knocked but no one responded until she decided to open the door since it was not locked, only to find the young lady lying in a pool of blood in her underwear.

However, Charles Tetteh was nowhere to be found as they wonder where he passed since he did not use the main entrance to the guest house.

According to the police, the deceased was stabbed by Charles Tetteh after they retrieved a knife stained with blood under the mattress.

They also found the handbag of the lady which had a phone number written at the back of a Yellow Fever card found in the bag. They called the number and it happened to be the elder brother of the deceased.

The elder brother by the name Bright Kekeli was asked to report to the Somanya Police Station for identification of the body.

The body of Believe Sakitey has been deposited at the Atua Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy whilst investigations continued.
