Information available to us has it that a total of 26 students and 3 teachers at the Akosombo International School have reportedly tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

The victims were quarantined in a hotel at Akosombo after mass testing was conducted in the schools for all students, teaching staff, and the non-teaching staff.

The news was confirmed by the Eastern Regional Health Director, Dr. Winifred Ofosu, and also revealed that the  Regional Health Directorate was yet to be furnished with a detailed report from the Asuogyaman District Health Directorate.

Meanwhile, the country has recorded additional 777 new cases, making it a total of 5,768 cases while the death toll has also shot up to 433 with 497 recoveries.
