As we speak, the first female officers internal security operations is underway along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

The number of female military officers involved is 300 and they will be operating as a measure to reduce banditry and kidnapping along the highway and other communities along the highway.

The military officers were drafted into the Operation Thunder Strike of the Nigerian Army which is currently carrying on a special operation on the Kaduna-Abuja general area.

This has received some commendations from Nigerians and this comes after the Governor of Kaduna State, Governor Nasir El-Rufai revealed at a ceremony to welcome the first batch of 100 female officers.

At the ceremony, he also handed over of their residential accommodation to the Nigerian Army in Kaduna state and he was also optimistic that more military officers will be deployed to the Abuja-Kaduna highway to tighten security.
