Three years ago, Ghanaian rapper Trigmatic emotionally revealed that Ghanaians have relegated him to the background in the music circles as they no longer listen to his songs.

The former Vodafone Ghana Music Award winning artiste made this known during an interview with Nii Kpakpo Thompson on his entertainment TV show. ‘I think I have challenged myself to the extreme, I work very hard, I stay true to music, I do live music, my songs are just not any kind of songs; just check the contents but’.., he lamented.

The rapper who is known for considerable hit songs added that he feels sad to release a song thinking people will love it but later flops beyond his imagination. ‘I travel and see people jamming to my songs but that is not the case here in my country. I feel I’m underrated.’

The music scene has evolved with Afrobeats and other danceable songs predominating the landscape. Perhaps it’s high time Trigmatic varied his approach to meet the dynamism of the industry. It’s obvious if he doesn’t join the bandwagon, he will forever be buried in history of time.

That notwithstanding, the rapper is doing well as the photos below prove. Knowing his caliber and pedigree, we wouldn’t be surprised if he bounces back with a bang. Trigmatic, born Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Adjei won The Best Rapper of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) in 2011. He’s regarded as one of the best Ghanaian rappers of this generation.

Around the same period that he made this comment that Ghanaians have forgotten about his talent very quickly, he got married to fashion blogger Dita Schandorf . The My Jole hitmaker and his sweetheart walked down the aisle at a private ceremony at Tesano, a suburb of Accra.
