Former Ghanaian football star, Odartey Lamptey is currently married to his second wife Ruweida Yakubu after his first marriage crashed.
Odartey Lamptey married his second wife who was an actress and former Ghana’s Most Beautiful finalist, Ruweida Yakubu in 2014 after the birth of their first child Malaika. The arrival of their daughter, Malaika follows the dissolution of his first marriage with his first wife Gloria Appiah.

The marriage between Odartey Lamptey and his first wife Gloria finally collapsed after the results of the DNA tests proved that the three children produced during their marriage did not belong to him. Odartey Lamptey was not the biological father of the three kids.
This issue was one of the trending issues which caused a huge scandal for the footballer and caused him an emotional breakdown. After several weeks, he regained his sanity following his relationship with Ruweida Yakubu and the three children they had together.
The new wife of Odatey Lamptey, Ruweida Yakubu is an actress and a former runner-up for one of the popular reality show “Ghana’s most beautiful”. She has three children for the footballer; two girls and a boy.
