Ghanaian songstress of international repute, Wiyaala was in the news recently when she jabbed some industry players and asked them to stop talking about her.

Apparently Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, an entertainment pundit has made an offensive comment about the singer suggesting that despite her global appeal, she’s not relevant in Ghana. Wiyaala recorded a video and sent a warning to her detractors saying;
‘This message is going to industry players, especially those who do the blogging, criticizing and whatever. Please KMJ and JnJ, Asamoah Baidoo and all your whatever, whatever. Whatever, whatever doesn’t mean I’m being rude. But to everybody, if I don’t really count in this industry, or if I don’t count and I have never been counted as part of this industry, then don’t discuss me when you’re talking about the showbiz or show business in Ghana.
Since the rest of us you think are not controversial enough, we are not showing skin enough, we are not insulting each other enough, we are not attacking each other enough so that you can get something to write, and you can take us to the slaughterhouse or take me to the slaughterhouse, divide me into pieces, say all kinds of manner of things about me or us so that you can have something to talk about,” she continued.

So some of us might not be the most intelligent but we do have brains to understand that when you do foolish songs just because you want to get attention, or to win certain awards you are actually fooling yourselves.’
Her message has since set the internet on fire, spontaneously sparking a debate which is still ongoing on social media.
In view of that, we have made a compilation of just few artistes who are not Wiyaala’s level. This list could be expanded to include a lot of artistes who are successful but are only limited to Ghana since Wiyaala is regarded as an international artiste.
1. Bisa K.Dei
After achieving mainstream success with a lot of hit songs, Bisa K.Dei’s career has hit a snag. Real name, Ronald Kwaku Dei Appiah, Bisa K.Dei cannot be compared to Wiyaala even when he was vibrant and ruling the charts in Ghana and other West Africa countries.
2. Wendy Shay
Perhaps one might argue that it’s a mistake to bring Wendy Shay into this fray-as it were owing to her relatively short stint in the music industry. That could be true to some extent but there’s no timeframe to measure a good artiste. Wendy Shay has done very well for herself since she stepped into Wendy Ebony’s oversized shoes but not enough to be held on the same wavelength as Wiyaala.
3. Cabum
Frank Kwame Gyasi- Frimpong, known professionally as Cabum, is is a rapper from Kumasi. He is the son of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Alhaji Kwame Frimpong and Joyce Asabia Frimpong. Despite being in the game for a decade, he’s yet to make any headway let alone win one single award.
4. Eno Barony
Well, to be fair to Eno Barony, she’s far talented than most of the A-List artistes in Ghana but the biasness of the industry has made her underrated. Real name Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, Eno Barony has won some fans through good songs like Wats Ma Name, Tonga and her recent diss song she aimed at Medikal dubbed Argument Done and Force Dem to play Nonsense.
5. Itz Tifanny
Itz Tiffany won our hearts with her hit song Azonta which she did with Fuse ODG and released in 2013. The rapper is yet to find her feet in the rap game which is being dominated by the males. Antoinette Tiffany Owusu as real name goes, lived in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region and attended Cambridge School and from there to Yaa Asantewaa Girls High school where she played a major role in entertainment committee and performed almost every musical concert on campus. She was also a member of the drama club.
