Homosexuality in most parts of Africa is considered a taboo or demonic. Most people talk negatively about those involved in homosexuality. Here are few Nigerian Celebrities who support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and transgender.

  1. Falz

Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name as Falz, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter and actor who support the rights of LGBTs. Falz released a song in 2019 titled “Hypocrite” with Pro-LGBT message. He advised the general public to desist from judging and being a hypocrite when it comes to LGBTs and peoples as a whole.

2. Tonto Dikeh

Tonto Dikeh is a Nollywood actress and also the founder of “The Tonto Dikeh foundation”. Tonto Dikeh has expressed his support for the LGBT family on few occasions. She stood to support an American actor Jussie Smollett after he was attacked because of his sexual orientation. She also fired some Nigerians who stood to protest against homosexuality.

3. M.I Abaga

M.I. Abaga

Nigerian hip-pop and sensational rapper M.I Abaga some time ago spoke against the Same Sex Marriage prohibition Act. He stated that there was nothing bad about being a Gay, Lesbian or transgender. He stated it was all about choices therefore LGBT have the rights to be happy and live peacefully.

4.  Alex Ekubo

Alex Ekubo is a Nollywood actor who also recently vouched for LGBTs. He urged all Nigerians in an open letter he posted on his social media page that, Gays and Lesbians should be given peace of mind and also stop the name calling.

5.  Kizz Daniel

Kizz is Nigerian songwriter and singer who tweeted some time ago declaring his stand on same-sex marriage after it was legalized in the United States. In his tweets, he acknowledged that “love is love”.
