#2 Fast Rate of Depreciation of the Cedi against major international currencies
Whiles in opposition, Nana Akufo-Addo, together with his running mate, Dr. Bawumia ‘jabbed’ the ruling Mahama administration for failing to ‘arrest’ the dollar. As at the time President Mahama was leaving office, the one dollar was equivalent to a little over four cedis. As we speak, the cedi is seriously ‘worshiping’ the dollar; one dollar is equivalent to five cedis.
