Nigeria controversial Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo was deported by Canadian authorities by the border services agency in August 2012.

Kemi Olunloyo lives 30 years of her life in the United State and five years of her life in Canada before she was finally deported to Nigeria. Kemi Olunloyo was reportedly very active against gun violence while in Canada but she later had issues with the Canada Border Services Agency.

Kemi Olunloyo was arrested in her apartment in Toronto by agents from the Canada Border Services Agency. The agency realized that the refugee visa of Kemi was yet to be renewed. She was remanded into custody at Vanier Centre for women, a 7 day maximum for female prisoners before she was deported to Nigeria.
