Ghana opened their 2019 AFCON opener against West African neighbors Benin and in the end, The Black Stars have to endure a torrid 2-2 draw after the ‘dollar kisser’ John Boye was red-carded early in the second half to put the advantage in the hands of the Beninese.

Benin scored just 3 minutes after the commencement of the game in what now appears to be the fastest goal of the tournament, living the Ghanaians stunned and disorganized. However, a spirited performance afterwards saw them scoring two sumptuous goals through the Ayew brothers to make the scoreline 2-1 before the end of the first half.

John Boye however was given the marching orders when he was given red card for time wasting, a decision which has infuriated so many Ghanaians on social media.
