A week or two ago, Yvonne Nelson lost his father and received backlash from people for daring to be hypocritical when she posted a picture of herself and her dad with one touching message.
Reason being that, she had always established and emphasised on how little a role her dad played in her life. She is always known for celebrating her mother even on father’s day.
The content of the message is as below:
“Rest In Peace Father. This picture was taken on the 6th of this month…, I have only two pictures with my Father, and this is one of them…..so much I wanted to talk about…..so much I wanted to say…..but God knows best….I know you are in HEAVEN……I know we’ll meet again and talk about it all…..there were days I cried to my mum to bring me to yours……there were days I couldn’t wait to see you and talk to you just for a minute….I longed to hold your hand…..I longed to sit on your lap…..I longed for all of that……can we still do that when I see you in HEAVEN?? Can we start all over again?? Can we correct the mistakes??? I longed for you so much. I have nothing but love for you…….in His last days….he always mentioned God in everything he said…why?? Because there’s no one GREATER sleep well father #MRNELSON.”
It was Sister Afia father’s birthday yesterday and knowing her to be someone who has a penchant for controversy, she shared a photo of herself and dad with a message that has left us thinking if she was in any way throwing shade at our sultry Yvonne.
Afia wrote on her Instagram page:
“I will celebrate you while you are alive so I won’t sound petty when you are gone.. I love you daddy…you mean the world to me..you define humbleness in a different level…your love for Christ keeps me grounded all time..
