Arsenal Football Club is one of the most successful clubs in Europe but the team’s reputation has taken a spiral downturn which is evident in lack of a silverware for a very long time.

Fans of the London Club have pointed the misfortune of the club at the doorstep of the manager, Arsene Wenger who happens to be the longest serving coach of the club and England as a whole.

This is the where Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, wants to come in. Mr Dangote has again expressed interest in buying English Premier League team, Arsenal despite being rebuffed by its owners in 2010.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, said that the first thing he would do if he buys Arsenal club is to fire the club manager, Arsene Wenger.

Dangote said he will consider making an offer to buy the club once the $11 billion oil refinery he is constructing in Lagos is completed.

“The first thing I would change is the coach. He has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck.” he said
