I particularly predicted that controversies will trail this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music awards and that is exactly what is happening. In as much as Chaterhouse is a human institution and as such is prone to mistakes, their perpetual flaws can no longer be branded as mistakes but incompetence.

This could constitute Article Wan’s perception when he spoke to 3FM’s DJ Enkay in an interview. The Solo

hit maker who was nominated for the Best New Artiste, Afro-Pop Song and Most Popular Song categories failed to win any of the award.

He also felt bad that Medikal with his Too Ricky as well as Solo that dominated the music scene in 2016 could not make an impact at the awards.

“I didn’t really feel bad but the truth is, I felt a bit like ‘what’s happening?’ because the whole of last year, not that they didn’t know, they know, they know what we did. The effort we put on stages wherever we were.

Charley we disturbed everywhere. Let me talk about my brother too, Medikal. The whole of last year was about ‘Solo’ and Medikal.”

And then for a whole national award to go down, we getting nominations- more than two- and then we getting nothing, we felt some way,” he said.
