Celebrated Ghanaian Actor, Akwasi Boadi, well known as Akrobeto has trashed claims that Agya Koo’s absence in the industry led to their downfall.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM, Akrobeto stated that the main reason behind the downfall of the Kumawood movie industry was “dumsor”.
He said during that time of electrical power outage, most people lost interest in buying Ghanaian movies because there was no light to watch with.
Recall, Agya Koo stated in an interview that the Kumawood movie industry collapsed because some producers and directors plotted against him to take him off the scenes.
But according to Akrobeto, Agya Koo’s absence wasn’t the cause of the downfall of the industry. He said that after the power outage was resolved, Telenovelas became dominant and took over the screens.
