According to a Mynews.gh.com report, The Acting Registrar of Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA),  Mr Matthew Yaw Kyeremeh has been sacked by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Mr Kyeremeh was appointed somewhere in May 2017 to act as the Registrar of HeFRA. More than two years after his acting appointment, he has failed to pass the Public Services Commission interviews, a source revealed to this portal.

According to MyNewsGh.com, Mr Kyeremeh is not a medical professional and cannot be confirmed by the Public Services Commission as a result.

It will be called on 1st May 2018, that three healthcare professionals called on the President Nana Akufo-Addo to terminate the appointment of Mr. Mathew Yaw Kyeremeh as the Acting Registrar of the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA

According to the healthcare professionals,  Mr Kyeremeh does not possess the constitutional qualification to occupy the position at the agency, which is an important entity under the Ministry of Health.

In a joint petition copied to the Chairman of the Health Select Committee of Parliament, Minister of Health and the General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, the petitioners, Kwasi Andoh, (MPH); Dr. Gordon Appiah and Dr. John Poku, claimed that Mr. Kyereme does not have the qualification to occupy the agency, which should be “manned by seasoned health professionals with extensive managerial experience.”
