Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste, Samini born Emmanuel Andrews Sammini has explained that the introduction of Free Senior High School policy by the Akufo Addo administration has relieved him of some financial burden.

He indicated that before the introduction of the policy, he was burden with paying fees for some numbered of children who are in school.

The musician stated that after the government came to take responsibility for school payments, he got relieved and invest those monies in other ventures.

Speaking in one of the NPP virtual concerts, the dancehall giant noted that though his direct family is not a beneficiary of the policy because they live outside the country but he believes several families have been blessed with the intervention.

Samini emphasized that the Free SHS policy is not for NPP, NDC, or any other political parties but it’s for the wide range of Ghanaians in the country because every child is going to benefit from it.

He noted that he supports a lot of children by paying fees and the fact that he doesn’t pay those fees anymore makes him feel the essence of the Free SHS and as people thought it wouldn’t happen and it’s now in play hence a reason to give another chance to the Akufo Addo led government.
