Akwaboah is a great song writer who has penned several hit songs for some Ghanaian artistes. But when we heard he’s extended his prowess to the doorstep of US superstar, Alicia Keys, we were a bit skeptical.

The news was made viral by several online portals in Ghana although none of the blogs attributed the revelation as coming from Akwaboah himself.

Finally the Sarkcess signee has reacted to the story in an interview on Citi TV’s Saturday Live show. He disclosed that he has never said anywhere that he has written a song for Alicia Keys.

The singer said it was his own friend who, in a bid to elevate him, made the statement.

He said:

The last time, a friend of mine was saying I wrote a song for Alicia Keys. But that is not true. I wrote a song for someone – not Alicia Keys.

Instead, he said he pens songs for a popular female artiste who works with Chris Brown and has over 350 million views on YouTube but she’s not Alicia Keys.

He added:

Apparently the person has about 350 million views on YouTube. She is a very big person. She works with Chris Brown and co.
