The church building collapse at Akyem Batabi in the Eastern Region toll has rose to 22 and families of victims are on verge of losing hopes of getting back their members alive.
As relatives waited in hopes of their loved mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers, chances are that, they might be waiting in vain because, the death toll of the church building collapse victims keep rising.
As of Thursday, more bodies had been recovered from a previous nine deaths bringing the total number of deaths to 15.
However, many are still trapped under the rubble.
The collapse of the church building happened on Tuesday whiles members of the church estimated to be 60, had gathered to pray. However, the exact total number of the believers who were praying is still unconfirmed.

The NADMO officials, Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), the police, soldiers from jungle warfare, fire personnel and local volunteers are still on site working in hope to rescue the people from the rubble. They have assured the public that they will not rest until they have rescued the last person.
