Renowned Ghanaian female politician, Ama Benyiwa-Doe who passed on some weeks ago will be buried in December.

Her burial and the subsequent funeral are slated to take place on December 18 and this was made known by her family during the observance of her one-week celebration.

Dignitaries and family members of the deceased, on Saturday morning, thronged her residence in Accra, to observe one week of her passing.

Popular personalities who attended the ceremony are the 2020 Vice-presidential candidate of the NDC, Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the current Greater Accra Regional Minister and member of the NPP, Henry Quartey, and some high-ranking members of the NDC and government.

Speaking in an interview with Citi News, the head of the family in the person of George Blankson said;

“The funeral has been scheduled for the 18th of December 2021 and the venue will be Gomoa Abura.”

The family head also eulogized the former Central Regional Minister saying;

“She could look at you in the face and tell you the truth, whether it is bitter or sweet. We have lost someone who is open and straightforward and still keeps you close to her as a mother. That is one part that we are going to miss.”
