Legendary American singer, Stevie Wonder has revealed his intentions to relocate to Ghana permanently.

This was revealed in an interview on the “The Oprah Conversation” with Oprah Winfrey.

His decision to move permanently to Ghana stems from his anger that his children and grandchildren are demanding the “respect” that he feels they deserve.

“I don’t want to see my children’s, children have to say ‘oh please like me, please respect me, please know that I am important, please value me’. What is that?” he quizzed.

Stevie Wonder also disclosed the would like to see America smile again before he finally moves to stay in Ghana permanently.

“…I want to see this nation smile again, and I want to see it before I leave to travel to move to Ghana, because I’m going to do that”, he said.

The 22 Grammy award-winning songwriter also said that he would want the world to be a better without hatred among people.

“I want the world to get better. I want us to get beyond this place. I want us all to go to the funeral of hate. That’s what I want,” he added.

Stevland Hardaway Morris, known professionally as Stevie Wonder, is an American singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. A prominent figure in popular music during the second half of the 20th century, Wonder is one of the most successful songwriters and musicians.
