On Tuesday, August 11, a state task force vehicle was destroyed by angry youth in Rivers State.
Reports revealed that the uproar commenced when a man lost his life after the involvement of the task force vehicle in an accident. The youth attacked the vehicle and destroyed it.

Following this incident, Governor Nyesom Wike has ordered the dissolution of the state task force.
He tweeted,
”The Rivers State Taskforce on Illegal Street Trading and Motor Parks has been dissolved with immediate effect. Consequently, the Special Assistant to the Governor in charge of the Task Force, Mr. Bright Amaewhule has been relieved of his appointment.”
