Over the past few days, there have been reported cases of uniformed police men being gruesomely murdered and we don’t know if these cases are premeditated or there’s a diabolical plot aimed at them.

According to what he sourced from myjoyonline, police officer L/Cpl. Alhassan Asare has been shot dead in Akyem Swedru in the Eastern region.

A police situation report said he was found lifeless in a plastic chair while on guard duty at the Dukes Petroleum Filling station at about 5:40 am Tuesday.

His rifle was in between his thighs having sustained severe gunshot wounds on the head. The uniform was soaked with blood.

The murder brings to two, the number of police officers killed in the past 24 hours alone. Only Monday, an officer was killed in Manso Nkwanta in the Ashanti region.
