Boxing great, Anthony Joshua has partnered with one of the UK’s growing fintech companies, Revolut to raise fans to support boxing clubs.

England is one of the countries which was hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic when it first broke out from Wuhan, China. To help flatten the curve, all sporting activities in the country were called off and that led to some businesses closed while others struggled to survive even after they were given the green light to operate.

Revolut is here to help boxing regain its position as one of the sports widely accepted in the country and the world at large. As part of its plan, it is donating £50,000 to independent boxing gyms and another £1 for every limited edition card ordered.

The donation will help revive closed boxing gyms and those on the verge of collapsing as a result of the COVID outbreak and inadequate funds. The limited-edition card has Joshua’s motto ‘258’ written on it. It has a two-color pattern ie, it looks black and white during the day and glows into a striking green and black at night.

Speaking about the deal, he said:

I am delighted to partner with Revolut to support UK boxing clubs,” said the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO title belts holder.

Without my local boxing gym, I would not be where I am today.

Across the UK, there are kids and adults alike using these clubs to improve their physical and mental health and keep themselves off the streets.

I am really pleased my Revolut card will make a real difference.”

This is another supportive cause championed by the unification champion. He was the talk of the town when he took center stage during the Black Lives Matter campaign in the UK. Regardless of the backlash he received, he kept marching on fighting for the black people in the community.

He never misses out on showing love and support to colleagues and amateurs in boxing as well. Not too long ago, his management signed Ricky Hatton’s son Campbell Hatton. The 19 year old is determined to turn a pro under the tutelage of Anthony Joshua and promoter, Eddie Hearn.
