The New York native stand-up comedian, actor, podcaster, and producer Ari Shaffir has appeared and played a role in a number of podcasts as a host and a guest.

Ari Shaffir, legally known as  Ari David Shaffir was born on February 12, 1974, in New York City in the United States. At the age of nine, Ari who comes from a Romanian Jewish background relocated to Maryland with his family.

He took up a job at Arlington National Cemetery when he was sixteen years old. He had his high school education at Rockville, Maryland, and proceeded to Yeshiva University for two years before transferring to the University of Maryland to complete his college education. Shaffir moved to Los Angeles in his early twenties to seek better opportunities for his career in stand-up comedy. He first worked at The Comedy Store, answering phone calls. Watching showcase comedy on tv and comedians on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson inspired him to venture into comedy.

He first got exposed to the public with the viral video series The Amazing Racist. He started working with Joe Rogan in the late 2000s as a warm-up act then later toured with him alongside other comedians like Duncan Trussell, Tom Segura, and Brian Redban. In 2010, he created, produced, and hosted his stand-up comedy show, This Is Not Happening. Prior to that, he had participated in the Montreal Comedy Festival, being a part of The Nasty Show.  He as well appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience show. 

In 2011, a 48-year-old old entertainer started his podcast Skeptic Tank where he and his panels discuss events mainly on comedy as well as other serious issues in society like rape, suicide, mental health, and prison. He became a co-host of the sports podcast Punch Drunk in 2013. 

His first stand-up album Revenge for the Holocaust was released in 2012 and it was the successful topping on Itunes and Amazon in its first week. His first television production was Passive Aggressive in 2013 before subsequently producing Paid Regular and others. 

As a commercial actor, he appeared in ads for elite companies like Coke Zero, Subway, Dominos, and Bud Light. He starred in the comedy movie Keeping Up with the Joneses (2016).
