Even if a kid is asked to mention the names of the wealthiest Ghanaians, Asamoah Gyan’s name will inevitably pop up. Yet, the former Sunderland forward told an Accra Circuit court that he’s broke for which reason he’s prying the court to annul his marriage.
A snippet of info we picked from mynewsgh.com says Gyan told the court that he’s a broke man as he’s not being paid for months now.
Few days ago Asamoah Gyan was ordered by the court to pay for the air ticket for his wife and all their three children to travel from the UK to Ghana for a DNA test to be conducted.
The court demanded that the children must be protected from the stigma of the ongoing court process for which reason it was suggested Asamoah Gyan booked a business or 1st class ticket for them and their mother as well as prepare an accommodation for them in Accra.
Asamoah Gyan, however, told the court he is broke and cannot afford a business or 1st class ticket because he has not been paid for some months.
This is after he told the court in August that he can only afford ₵3000 a month for the upkeep of the 3 children and the wife who are based in the UK.
According to MyNewsGh.com, a source close to the wife has said Mrs Gyan doesn’t need her husband’s money and has since refused to go for it since August when he began paying in court.
Asamoah Gyan and Gifty’s divorced case hit the tabloid recently to the shock of many Ghanaians; fraught with shocking revelations and accusations.
