The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has finally agreed to call off its strike.
It could be recalled that the union has embarked on a strike action that lasted for 8 months. During this period, the union met the Federal Government, however, nothing was agreed.

At a recent meeting, the leadership of the union met the team from the Federal Government and it seems they have now reached a consensus.

Per reports, the FG has pledged to make a payment of N70 billion to the union.
