Austin Reaves parents-American professional basketball player, Austin Tyler Reaves was born on May 29th, 1998 in Newark, Arkansas in the United States of America.

Reaves is the son of Nicole Wilkett and Brian Reaves. Reaves shares the same parents with his brother, Spencer Reaves who played college basketball for North Greenville and Central Missouri before embarking on a professional career.

His parents were both college basketball players for Arkansas State. His father is tied for third in program history with 384 c areer assists, while his mother averaged 21.3 points per game and was named to the all-conference team as a senior.

Austin Reaves attended Cedar Ridge High School and he furthered to the University of Oklahoma. He stands at a height of 1.96m tall.

Reaves had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder just prior to the start of his freshman year at Wichita State. Since his junior year of high school, he had been continuing to play with the injuries.

He played the role as a reserve and averaged 4.1 points per game as a rookie. Reaves had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder after the season. Throughout his college career, Reaves’ right shoulder had dislocated three times, costing him games.

In a 90-71 victory over Tulsa on January 28, 2018, he recorded a season-high for his sophomore year with 23 points and four assists. Reaves hit the most three-pointers in a half in program history with seven in the first half.

Due to NCAA transfer regulations, Reaves missed the next season after transferring to Oklahoma after his sophomore campaign. He engaged in weight training during his redshirt year and added 20 pounds (9.1 kg). In a 78-76 victory over TCU on March 7, 2020, Reaves notched a career-high 41 points, six assists, and five rebounds.

He made the game-winning shot with 0.5 seconds left to lead a comeback of 19 points in the second half. Reaves was nominated to the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team for his 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and three assists per game average as a redshirt junior.

In an 82-78 victory over TCU on December 6, he recorded a senior season-high 32 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. Reaves scored 27 points in an 87-71 loss to top-seeded Gonzaga in the NCAA tournament’s second round.

Reaves signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on August 3, 2021, after going undrafted in the NBA draft of 2021. He was given a basic NBA contract on September 27.

Reaves made his NBA debut on October 22 against the Phoenix Suns, scoring eight points off the bench in a 115-105 loss. On December 15, he defeated the Dallas Mavericks 107-104 with 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from outside the arc, 7 rebounds, and a game-winning 3-pointer.

Reaves recorded his first triple-double of his career and set career highs in points, rebounds, and assists during the Lakers’ 146-141 overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets on April 10, 2022, during the season finale for that team. Reaves had 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists.
