Ghanaian musician, Armstrong Affum who is popularly known as Dadie Opanka has shared h is thoughts about musicians winning awards.

The renowned musician shared his thoughts about the subject matter as he spoke with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

He said;

“Awards is just a perception for people to think you are this and that.”

Answering question about if he thinks some musicians buy these awards, he answered in the affirmative saying;

“It’s obvious that awards are bought. I do not want to have issues with people that is why I am not mentioning names. When I receive an award, cool. When I do not receive any too, I will be cool.”

He also spoke about his relationship with his fellow Tema-based musicians in the interview. In his submission, he said;

“Almost all the artistes in Tema are my friends. Industry friends. One way or the other, I get some support from some artistes. I haven’t paid money for collaboration before. I have so many unreleased songs with a lot of artistes.”
