His Excellency Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday 3 September 2020 paid a courtesy working visit tour in the Northern Region and landed in the royal abode of the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na Abukari II, Paramount Chief of the Mion Traditional Area.
The Vice President also visited Mahamudu Abdulai III, and the Paramount Chief of Savelegu, Yoo Naa Abulai Yakubu Andani III.
In his visit, Honorable Mahahumdu Bawumia threw light on massive developmental project that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has completed in the region and the country at large.
He made mention of the One village One Dam project., Planting for Food and Jobs, and One District One Factory. Adding that the Northern Region has been one major benefactor of these flagship projects.

He said “I assured the distinguished Overlord, Paramount Chiefs and their subjects. President Akufo-Addo’s desire to ensure the development of the northern part of Ghana, having demonstrated his commitment with development projects across all parts of the north in areas such as One Village One Dam, Planting for Food and Jobs, One Constituency One Ambulance, One District One Factory, and infrastructure projects such as roads, schools and clinics”
The Vice president continued to present more of NPP’s achievement in their 4 years in office.
“All these projects have happened alongside the flagship Free SHS policy, which every child and parent across the country is benefiting.”

Mr. Mahamudu Bawumia urged the people of the Northern Region to vote for NPP to stay in power to continue building a better Ghana.
“President Akufo-Addo has indeed kept faith with Ghanaians and the good people of the northern region, and I urged them to continue to offer the President and his government their unflinching support by giving him 4 more years to do more” He said.
