Sarkodie became the second artiste to win the newly created Artiste of the Decade award after the maestro, Kojo Antwi won the maiden edition two years ago.
The award has been specifically designed to celebrate and honour an artiste who has sustained his/her relevancy and vibrancy over period of ten years.
The iconic rapper beat off stiff competition from Emmanuel Samini, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, R2Bees, Becca, Efya, Okyeame Kwame and Joe Mettle to cement his legacy as the finest Ghanaian rapper of all time.
On that note, BET took to their official page to congratulate the rapper on his achievement. Taking to their Facebook page, they and posted a picture of Sarkodie and added a caption to congratulate him.
