County court records shows United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in a judgment of an unpaid £535 debt.

According to a database of judgments, the court order was made on 26 October 2020 and names Mr Boris Johnson of 10 Downing street as a debtor of the said amount but didn’t state who the creditor or how the nature of the debt is.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman reacting to the reports has revealed that the PM and his team has seen the reports and is currently ‘looking into the issue’.

When asked whether the PM had only become aware of the judgment when it was first reported in the media circles on Wednesday, the spokesman said it was something they are “looking into currently”.

The spokesman on when asked whether the people should be concerned about the personal finances of the PM, the spokesman replied there shouldn’t be any worries of the finances of the prime minister stating “You should not be concerned, no.”

Checks proves County Court judgement are issued out in countries like England and Wales when a a person owing an amount fails to repay his/ her debt. Getting a ‘judgement’ means the court has formally decided on it that you owe the said amount and must pay.

A bailiff from the court may decide to visit the debtor’s home if he/ she fails to pay the money and can be taken back to the court to pay extra cost if there is some level of late payment.
