In a weird but true report, a 15-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital and this was after a USB cable got stuck in his manhood.

Per what we gathered, the boy was the one who inserted this cable into his manhood. His name is was not given at the time of this report, however, he is a London-based teenager.

After inserting the cable, it was reported that he tried to remove it, however, he failed and this resulted in him bring out a significant amount of blood through his manhood.

When he arrived at the hospital, hospital staff also tried manually to take out the cable using some specialized tools. The only solution was for the boy to be transferred to the University College Hospital London for further treatment.

At the hospital, he told the doctors to let his mother give him some privacy and it was then that he told the doctors that he was the one who inserted the cable in his manhood and he did that to measure his manhood.

An X-ray was then taken and the exact size and positions of the cable’s knot were ascertained and a surgery process was initiated.

During the operation, the muscles surrounding the penis were opened with the scrotum and then severed. This allowed the cable to be removed.

Fortunately for him, he had no complications and was discharged from the hospital the following day.

Speaking with the Mail Online, Consultant andrologist, Dr Amr Raheem said;

“Although the surgery was successful and without immediate complications, he may later develop narrowing of the urethra which can give him problems when passing urine or predispose him to recurrent urinary tract infection.

When you introduce anything inside your body that is not sterile, you can cause a tissue infection, infections can sometimes be serious especially in people with low immunity as in diabetics, a serious infection can lead to tissue necrosis or even sepsis.

I believe it is becoming more common as everything is thanks to social media and in general the easier ways that misinformation can be spread.

We certainly have seen an increase in these practices amongst patients that present with symptoms in our clinics.”
