In a report we have sighted on Linda Ikeji’s Blog, how a little boy was rescued from some kidnappers was revealed.

The little boy is a four-year-old pupil of the St. Joseph School Otolo Nnewi in Anambra State and he was reportedly rescued from two men who kidnapped him while returning home from school on March 1.

His classmates that he was walking with did well as they raised an alarm prompting those around to take action.

The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the state police command, Mohammed Haruna who indicated that the victim was returning home from school in the company of his siblings when two men on a motorcycle grabbed him and zoomed off with him.

The other children then raised alarm and the boy was rescued as the residents descended on the suspected kidnappers, beating them to a pulp.

In his submission, he said;

An alarm was raised by other children which attracted the attention of some commercial motorcyclists who pursued and eventually arrested the suspects and rescued the child at Akamili Community Nnewi.

However, before the arrival of the police patrol team to the scene, the two suspects were beaten to stupor by the angry mob but were eventually rescued by the police and taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Consequently, on March 12 one of the suspects whose identity is yet unknown was certified dead by a medical doctor while receiving treatment and the second one is still unconscious at the hospital.

The Corpse has been deposited at the mortuary and investigation still ongoing.
