The Ghana Health Service just updated the number of Coronavirus cases in Ghana and it was revealed that 10 Guineans who were picked by security officials for coming into Ghana from Burkina Faso have tested positive for Coronavirus.

These Guineans were arrested at Ghana’s border with Burkina Faso. They were reportedly put under mandatory quarantine in Tamale where they were all confirmed to be COVID-19 positive after testing.

A government statement reads;

“Ten (10) of the new cases were among persons who were under mandatory quarantine in Tamale under the direction of the Regional Security Committee of the Northern Region.

They travelled through Burkina Faso and Togo to Ghana and were picked following intelligence report.”
