Two (2) suspects have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service, Central Regional Police Command over the murder of Mfantseman MP Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford, Ghgossip.com can confirmed to the public.

The two persons were grabbed through a thorough investigation of the Central Regional Police Command, who has since on Friday, 9 October, engaged in professional police criminal investigation into the case of Mr. Hayford’s killing.

Our fact checked and accurate sources disclose that “Two persons have been arrested from their hideouts in some communities within the region and are helping to police to apprehend their accomplices.”

The Late Honorable Ekow Quansah Hayford, Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency in the Central Region, was shot and killed on spot on the  Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road while returning from a campaign trip in the area with his team.

On the day of his murder, an eye witness of Ghgossip.com recounted as “The attackers who were not masked asked us to lie down; some of us run to the bush. The gunmen immediately shot at the MP who was in his Land Cruiser at the time.

“And so after they had left we got closer to the MP who was groaning in pain as he asked for water. He was not responding to my calls when I returned with the drink.”

Honorable Ekow Quansah Hayford was an MP on the ticket of the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His death has caused the need for government to secure 200 police officers to Members of Parliament to intensify their security profile which they say, will increase the number to 800 in subsequent day.
