The controversy surrounding the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has deepened with unconfirmed reports suggesting that their Head of Communications, George Quaye has been fired.

The Ghana Music Awards is the biggest and most prestigious award scheme in Ghana’s history started by Chaterhouse. However, the once upon a time noble award ceremony has been dogged in controversies in recent memory.

Shatta Wale took the issue a step further when he used unsavoury words on organisers of the show questioning their credibility which triggered a legal tussle between both parties.

George is on record to have said lots of industry players, especially Gospel musicians pay bribe to win most of the awards. This sparked lots of agitations within the Gospel fraternity.

Stay tuned for more updates.
