It was all pomp and opulence at display at the ‘back to basics’ album listening party of music duo, R2bees which went down last night at East Cantonments.

The album listening was a star-studded event as celebrities like Kelvunboy, Efya, Hajia 4 Real, Mzvee, King Promise others graced the event at east cantonments.

The artists served patrons to some good vibes and one of the highlights of the event was the moment a businessman identified as Popo 1 doled out GHC 60,000 to buy an R2bees

plague.

Onlookers were left stunned with the whopping amount the businessman dished out to grab the plague.

In other news, Kuami Eugene  has lashed out at his former label mate, Mzvee after the latter threw some jabs at him.

While Mzvee was with Lynx, Kuami Eugene confessed that he wrote the majority of the popular songs she is known for.

Eugene has consequently requested that Mzvee respect his name and express gratitude for the assistance he has provided her during her career.

The singer was reacting to a recent interview in which Mzvee made a jab at him. Mzvee previously stated that comparing Kuami Eugene to herself is inappropriate.

As a solo artist with no label, she claims to do everything by herself. She asserted, however, that at Lynx Entertainment, everything is taken care of for kuami Eugene.

As a result, Mzvee claims that comparing their wits is “grossly disrespectful” given their respective resources.

Mzvee’s words were cited in an interview with Zionfelix, which irritated Kuami Eugene.

Eugene explained that while Mzvee was on the label, he wrote a lot of songs for her. He claimed writing singles for Mzvee such as ‘Come and See My Moda,’ ‘Daavi,’ and others.

Kuami Eugene stated that he has done a great deal for Mzvee and that he sincerely hopes she appreciates what he has achieved for her.
