A Californian restaurant that has been defying COVID-19 laws for months now has banners inviting guests to present evidence of unvaccinated being served.

Basilico’s Pasta e Vino in Huntington Beach has consistently resisted coronavirus lockdowns and regulations, often going against state recommendations to offer safety precautions to curb the rapid spread of the deadly virus.
It refused to shut down during Governor Gavin Newsom’s lockdown order in December. The Orange County restaurant then declared itself a mask-free zone and forced patrons to remove their masks before entering after regulators issued multiple orders requiring companies to demand face coverings.
After the Centers for Disease Control stated that fully vaccinated individuals should once again wear their masks indoors in specific locations with high transmission rates, the company has announced that they will only service unvaccinated consumers.
The restaurant’s management stated that it will require proof if customers are not vaccinated. Meanwhile, it is quite unclear how employees would check a customer’s immunization status.
The company also introduced “The Basilico’s Declaration and Pledge of Defiance” with the hope that other restaurants join their movement.
Also, a sign outside the windows of Basilico’s Pasta e Vino Italian restaurant reads; “We have zero tolerance for treasonous, anti-American stupidity.”
If the state implements another lockdown, the promise also demands that other restaurants remain fully operational. It also encourages companies to display an American flag as well as a “Don’t Tread on Me” banner on their premises. Businesses are also advised to disregard any tickets or court appearances and to prohibit masks from being worn inside.
In an Instagram video, the owner of the Basilico’s Pasta s Vino said; “we understand that masks are the greatest weapons of the lockdowns. They are used to divide Americans, just like the vaccination, and they represent fear, control, and surrender.”
