The licenses of some TV STATIONS are to be revoked, as one has already paved the way; “FLY TV“- was apparently being run by some Lebanese who have bolted after the issue blew up. A local politician who is yet to be exposed is also in Partnership with the no-more FLY TV.
A few others have also written apology letters to the Commissions in charge to not take them to court or reduce the punishment on their heads. The fire in the atmosphere has really shaken these TV STATIONS as they have already started packing out.

What did they do wrong?
They continuously pirated FOREIGN MOVIES and SERIES. Without Permission or Licenses from High Authorities, they have been airing these movies and series. This has even gone in the long run to affect the production teams abroad that want to work in/with Ghana. Here is the case, most aired movies are supposed to be at least 10 years before they are shown on TV, but not the Ghanaian Community. Once it is out, they must show it all in the name of “Competition

“.

It seems their ignorance and blindness to right doings are finally paying off as they have started to be black listed. Below are a list of TV STATIONS currently fighting their way out;

  • MAX TV
  • HSTV
  • TUMPAANI (Written an apology Letter even)
  • CASH TV
  • NET2 TV
  • SWEET TV
  • ANGEL TV
  • DGN

Let’s do the right thing!!
