Christian Pulisic Siblings: Meet Devyn Pulisic – When Christian Pulisic was seven years old, he joined Brackley Town’s youth team.

In the mid-2000s, Pulisic lived in Michigan and played for Michigan Rush while his father was the general manager of indoor club Detroit Ignition. In Michigan, he attended Workman Elementary School.

Pulisic grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he played for the local US Soccer Development Academy club PA Classics and occasionally trained with the local professional club Harrisburg City Islanders, now known as Penn FC. In the summer of 2010, he went on a five-day trial at Chelsea’s Cobham base.

On December 13, 2013, he faced Brazil in an U17 tournament in Florida. He scored once in a 4-1 victory. He has stated that this day was a watershed moment in his life, and the date “12/13/2013” is now tattooed on his arm.

Pulisic moved to Germany before turning 16 years old. He became eligible because his grandfather was Croatian, which allowed him to obtain a European passport and begin playing at the age of 16 rather than 18. He had some difficulties obtaining the passport at first, but everything worked out in the end.

Borussia Dortmund signed 16-year-old Pulisic in February 2015 and assigned him to their U17 squad first, then to the U19 squad in the summer of 2015.

Pulisic played the second half of two friendly matches with the first team during the winter break in January 2016, scoring one goal and assisting on another.

Pulisic played 90 minutes in a friendly against Union Berlin on January 24, a day after making his first team debut. He scored one goal and assisted on another.

On January 30, 2016, he made his Bundesliga debut as a second-half substitute for Adrián Ramos in a 2-0 win over Ingolstadt. Pulisic made his UEFA Europa League debut as a second-half substitute in a 2-0 win over Porto on February 18.

Pulisic signed with Premier League club Chelsea on January 2, 2019, for an estimated £58 million transfer fee. In addition, he will remain on loan at Dortmund for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

Pulisic became the most expensive American player and Borussia Dortmund’s second most expensive sale of all time, trailing only Ousmane Dembélé.

Upon his arrival in the summer, he expressed a desire to emulate Eden Hazard’s form and referred to the forward as a soccer idol.

Pulisic competed for the United States at the U-15 and U-17 levels. In 10 appearances for the under-15 team, he scored two goals. He captained the U-17 team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015, where he scored one goal and assisted on another in three games.

Pulisic scored 20 goals in 34 games during his two years with the team. Pulisic was eligible to play for Croatia but turned down the opportunity.

Head coach Jürgen Klinsmann called Pulisic up to the senior team in 2016 ahead of a World Cup qualifying game against Guatemala.

He made his debut in that match two days later, a 4-0 win, and he became the youngest American to play in a World Cup qualifier.
