A Nigerian Twitter user known as Shola has called for an immediate action to be taken by the church as he suggests a remedy to curbing paternity fraud in society.

With the increasing rate of paternity fraud cases in Nigerian and the world at large, Shola suggests that churches should seek DNA test results from married couples before they approve to their child dedication service in church.

His stance stems from the fact that a man could dedicate a child that is not his unknowing to him because it is fraudulent act executed by the mother or his wife.

Shola wrote; ”With the rate of paternity fraud in Nigeria and beyond, I think churches should make DNA test compulsory before any child’s dedication. A pastor shouldn’t be blessing fraud. It’s just not right.”

His tweet has sparked a conversation on the micro-blogging platform and some are for the motion whilst others have opposed it with various defenses.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian traditional and fetish priest, Nana Kwaku Bonsam has said that the only condition under which the senior national team, Black Stars will emerge victorious in their clash against Gabon in the AFCON 2022 tournament is when one of the Ayew brothers is dropped from the starting line-up.

Kweku Bonsam indicated that he is a great fan of the Ayew brothers, Andre Dede Ayew and Jordan Ayew but spiritually, they are not supposed to start the game together.
