The number of Coronavirus cases in South Africa is now 12,074. The figure increased after about 219 people tested positive.

This was revealed by the President, Cyril Ramaphosa in his national address on Wednesday, 13 May.

President Ramaphosa in his address admitted that the government has made some mistakes in its efforts to curb the deadly Coronavirus, however, he stated that he is committed to making the necessary amends in order to curb and possibly eliminate the disease from the country.

The figure makes South Africa the country with the most cases in Africa.
