An update by the South African health ministry has revealed that the total number of infections in the country is now 187,977 with the number of deaths being 3,026.
The Coronavirus case count in South Africa has seen as a significant increase as over 10,000 new cases have been recorded.
These number of cases were recorded in just 24 hours and this means that South Africa is now the country with the highest number of cases in Africa.
According tot the Health authorities, they expected an increase in the cases as the loosening of the lockdown was being enforced.
