We have sighted a report which has revealed the amount the government of Ghana is paying daily on each quarantined traveler as hotel bill.
The President had directed that all travelers who came into the country on Sunday were to be quarantined for at least 14 days in order to test them for the deadly Coronavirus.
While in quarantine, these people were put in luxurious hotels and what we have gathered suggests that $500 is being spent by the Ghana government to secure hotel accommodation for each person.
We gathered this from videos that have hit social media by those in quarantine. One Nigerian who is part of those quarantined stated that right after his flight arrived in Ghana, authorities took him and all other passengers onboard to a hotel and booked rooms costing about $500 for them.
He said;
“I’m in Ghana, I just arrived today and as you can see, I’m in a hotel, an expensive hotel in that manner. I just checked the price it’s about $500 per night.”
