Some random pastors Daily Graphic spoke to in Accra & Kumasi are literally counting their losses after church activities were banned by the government in line with the fight against coronavirus.

Although the churches have been very vigorous in advertising their bank accounts and mobile money numbers and forcing their members to part away with their money in the form of offertories and tithes, this has not yielded much results.

“The inflows (offerings) have been disappointing,” an anonymous pastor disclosed to the Daily Graphic in Kumasi.

None of the churches the Daily Graphic spoke with was willing to state how much it received by way of offering before the ban, as against what it received now.

They unanimously agreed that coronavirus has harmed the inflow of cash from congregants and perhaps can wait for all this to be over.
