One of Nigeria’s Coronavirus patients who escaped has been arrested and the patient was arrested whiles selling in the market.

This patient who is a female was arrested on Saturday at the Oja-Oba market in Akure, the Ondo selling second-hand clothes popularly known as ‘Okrika’ in the market.

Per the reports, she tested positive for the disease in Imo State before she went to Akure, the Ondo State capital without undergoing treatment at any of the isolation centers.

This was confirmed by the Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro who revealed that her escape prompted both the Imo and Ondo Governments to mount a search for her.

She was then tracked and fortunately, she was found at the Oja-Oba selling second-hand wares.

Dr. Adegbenro added that contact tracing of the patient’s family, friends, and neighbors had commenced.

He urged all who had transacted business with the woman to report for diagnosis.
