Western Region-based NGO, CorpNation Foundation has commenced its inter-community football gala.
The foundation is headed by Saviour Kwaku Adzika, aka Corp Sayvee, who is a staff of an oil and gas company in Ghana. He also doubles as a musician.
It could be noted that the Western Region is known as the hub for producing quality football talents and some of these talents include Stephen Baidoo, Samuel Inkoom, John Baker, Joe Carr, Joseph Hendricks, Kofi Abbrey and John Essien.
However, in recent times, the region has not been able to replicate its success despite its plethora of potential talents.
This is the sole reason why CorpNation Foundation saw the need to partner with the Sulele Fun Club to organize a football tournament in Takoradi to unearth the next generation of football stars.
Another reason why the tournament is being held is to promote and foster unity in sister communities. The tournament commenced on Tuesday, 28th September 2021, and it will be ongoing for about six (6) weeks.
In all, 12 teams will be taking part and these teams are Top Ten, Amanful, Go Man Go, Apofee, Hi Brand, Sulele, Sekondi Station, Supreme, Columbia and No.3.
